LAND OPPORTUNITY: 29 acres for mixed grazing – Prince George, BC

We always have new land opportunities coming into our inventory, some of which aren’t on our blog yet! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at bclmp@youngagrarians.org to learn about the latest opportunities and to access free B.C. Land Matching Program services in your region.

ABOUT THE LAND

Located just outside Prince George in the Tabor Lake area, this 29-acre property is now available for any production type! There are 2 acres of cultivable land (including a small hay field) and plenty of mixed shrub/wooded areas that could be used for grazing livestock. Most of the land is fenced, with some fencing repairs needed. There is also a six-stall barn that could be available for use.

The landholders previously produced hay and grazed horses on the property, and they would love to see the property used for agricultural production once again.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a very flexible land opportunity open to any and all production types and farming practices – bring your ideas to discuss! The opportunity would be particularly suitable for a farmer interested in producing hay and grazing livestock.

There is potential for a long-term agreement, with room for negotiation.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate for this opportunity would be interested in commercial agricultural production, beyond homesteading. Since the landholder lives on-site, the ideal candidate would be respectful while sharing the space.

Interest in sustainable production and grazing livestock regeneratively would be an asset!
