ABOUT THE LAND

This property, located in Lake Country, is 10 acres. Most of the land is planted out in Gala apples, with a block of Ambrosias. The land owners manage the apple orchard themselves, but have cleared a 2 acre parcel towards the front of the property, which is the area they would like to lease out. The soil is a well-drained and sandy and there is an excellent functioning irrigation system already in place. There is also a small pickers cabin which could be used as storage for the leasing farmer. The land is deer fenced and has incredible lake views!

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The land owners do not want trees planted here, and are open to discussions with vegetable, berry, or flower growers. They are open to discussions around length of tenure, possible infrastructure, like hoophouses in the right location and other possibilities like a farm stand or potential collaboration. The ideal candidate has a good business plan and will farm the area responsibly.
