ABOUT THE LAND
This property is a unique piece of land with beautiful vistas and ample opportunity for not only growing your own diversified crops but a business and family too! With 10 acres of arable land, the owners are looking for a farmer who has vision for the future and is interested in variety and new experiences. The property has a mixture of open pasture areas, and dense, woody and hilly spots. The owners (who live on-site) encourage flexibility in crop rotations with an eye to regenerative practices to improve the soil. They are also keen to promote the development of business opportunities on-site. The property is situated on Highway 97 south, between Kaleden and Okanagan Falls, above the west side of Skaha Lake.

The owners would appreciate a farmer or land developer who is enthusiastic about trying new ideas, willing to communicate and discuss future development of the land, farm, and business ideas. They are looking for someone with the ability to welcome learning and teaching opportunities within the core group on-site and the wider community.
Honest, open communication and adaptability are highly appreciated and respected. Being able to see the opportunities that could arise, think outside the box, be willing to embrace change, but also recognizing what works as a business. The owners appreciate someone who can look at patterns and be able to streamline activities to produce efficiency and best results, in support of sustainable practices.
The owners would also like an individual who is willing to work with outside farmers or businesses to increase the offerings at the property (i.e. blueberry/ strawberry / fruits delivery services that could use the farm as a drop site enabling more traffic flow and options for customers).
The owners are actively considering growth strategies for the land, and the farmer on this property would be an integral component of this. They are searching for a farmer who would be willing to work together on these ideas or be able to self-sustain (depending on the model chosen).
