ABOUT THE LAND

This 10 acres parcel in the ALR is 4 km west of Summerland at 580 m above sea level. It is located on public roads on route to the Kettle Valley Steam Train Station.  There is domestic and irrigation water supplied by the irrigation district. The land has a southern exposure and is a glacial silt, easy to work and very fertile. The land owners have lovingly cultivated the land with care and attention and maintained Organic Certification for 20 years. Their primary crops were in orchard, berries and ground crops for sale to local Farmers’ Markets and more.  There are productive hazelnut and walnut trees.  Currently the fields are in pasture for sheep and hayfields and is fenced and cross-fenced for sheep. There is a barn available as well.
