It can be hard to know where to turn as a new farmer or someone curious about farming.
Young Agrarians staff are here to help!
The purpose of these sessions is to help you find the right information for where you are at today on your farming journey. Whether you are farm curious or you are many years into farming, we’re here to help.
Select a date /time that best works for you and join us to chat with a YA staff and others in the YA network. Bring a specific question or if you don’t know where to start, that’s okay too. We can refer you to helpful resources and brainstorm next steps. We can also provide more information on our YA programs and discuss if they are a fit.

Hi Mohamad,
Some job postings that we list on our job board will specify if they accept applications from temporary foreign workers.
Here is more information about the Temporary Foreign Workers Program: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada.html
Good luck,
JoHana
I am a young farmer in the Northern part of Ghana a UNDP awardee for organic farming.
Looking for a farm to work with in Canada.
Hi Mashud!
Thanks for the message. To work on a farm in Canada, you would need a work visa – for more information on the Temporary Foreign Workers Program, head here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada.html
We recommend screening the farms you are interested in as best as you can about the working conditions.
Good luck,
JoHana
