ABOUT Cedar Grove School at Edwin County Farms
Cedar Grove School is an emerging, Waldorf-inspired, land-based school located on an organic farm in Prince Edward County. As we complete our first year of operation (currently serving approximately 12 students), we are seeking a School Administrator to support the school’s next phase of development.
This is a foundational leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, finances, enrollment, and administrative systems. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the School Administrator will help build and maintain effective structures and processes to support a growing organization.
In addition to strong operational management, this role includes contributing to the development of the school’s identity, culture, and community presence. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an evolving environment and contributing to both strategic and practical aspects of the school’s growth.

Our cattle, grains and maple syrup are certified organic.

POSITION TASKS
- School operations and administrative systems
- Financial oversight (budgeting, tracking, reporting)
- Enrollment and admissions processes
- Community engagement and communications
- Organizational development and planning
POSITION DETAILS
Term: Full-time permanent (part-time may be considered)
Start date: As soon as possible
Hours per week: 40
Wage: $70,000 – $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications
- May include occasional evening/weekend work (meetings, festivals)
- Full-time role may include occasional classroom or student supervision
- Must be legally eligible to work in Ontario
- Vulnerable Sector Check required
- First Aid & CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain)
