Join YA for a Farm Tour, Corn Roast & Potluck at Golden Ears Farm in Chase, BC!
This is an annual event at Golden Ears Farm – a family farm tradition for over 30 years! Starting last year, we have opened it up to include a YA Farm Tour and Potluck. The farm tour will start by exploring the market garden and carry on to showcase the various animals that we tend. The potluck will start around 6ish with Golden Ears supplying the spit roasted pig ($5 contribution to cover this cost, please) and corn on the cob. Yum! Variety show and live music to follow.
When: Saturday, September 12th; Farm Tour @ 3PM; Potluck @ 6PM
Where: 5848 VLA Road (from Highway 1, turn onto VLA Road. Cross the railroad tracks and park alongside the road. You’ll see the bike shop and main driveway to the farm on your right-hand side).
What to Bring: A $5 donation to cover the pig, a food item to share, your own plate, cutlery, cup and drinks.

About the Farm: Golden Ears is a small co-operative farm community committed to growing healthy food using organic practices, and living as self sufficiently as we can. We are transitioning to certified organic status this season through the North Okanagan Organic Association.
We have 34 acres in the beautiful South Thompson Valley beside the Thompson River and near a small town called Chase. We share our land with our cows, goats, chickens, duck, pigs, dogs, bees and two cats.
Our main crops are corn, strawberries, raspberries and squash, and we also grow a wide variety of vegetables and fruits. We attend farmers’ markets in the area, run a CSA Food Box, operate a bike shop, and sometimes host events.
They’re also one of the mentee farms of the Young Agrarians Business Mentorship Network!
