Are you an aspiring farmer who wants hands-on experience working on a certified organic vegetable farm and living in a cooperative community? Glorious Organics Co-op Farm in Aldergrove, BC, might be the place for you!
About the Farm
Fraser Common Farm Co-op and Glorious Organics are honoured to live, grow, and work on the unceded traditional and ancestral lands of the Kwantlen First Nation, in Aldergrove, BC.
Glorious Organics is a 3.5-acre certified organic and Salmon-Safe farm located in Aldergrove, BC. The farm is cooperatively owned and operates on the 20-acre Fraser Common Farm Co-op (FCFC), a housing cooperative where many of the Glorious Organics farmers reside alongside individuals and families not directly involved in daily farm operations.
Glorious Organics was one of the first certified organic farms in the Fraser Valley and has been in operation since 1986 (as a cooperative since 2006). The farm grows a wide range of seasonal greens, herbs & edible flowers, vegetables, and fruits for sale to Vancouver’s top restaurants, farmers markets, and food hubs. They also produce seeds for sale through the BC Eco Seed Co-op, whose seed distribution hub is located on site.
Glorious Organics grows certified organic food that is nutritious and delicious while supporting sustainable food systems in BC. The farming practices are grounded in respect for the land, water, and communities that surround them – this means they practice sustainable and regenerative agriculture techniques that foster healthy soil, water, and ecosystem health.
