Course Description:

The best person to design and manage your land is you.

Every landowner or land steward holds a vast collection of personal and inherited experience and wisdom unique to them and their landbase. This 6 day workshop acknowledges that fact and provides you with the tools and resources that will help you successfully design, establish, and manage resilient human habitats that are ecologically sound and economically profitable.

It is process oriented and based on the principles of Permaculture Design and Holistic Management®.

  • In class instruction on how to create your own maps

Basic:

  • Uses freely available data. (Quality and accuracy of this mapping package is not guaranteed because it will be using free data)
  • Ready to print maps for: topography, aspect, slope, watershed and soil
  • KML files of all maps ready for import into Google Earth
  • Cost is approximately $150/quarter. Please call for a quote.

Advanced:

  • Uses LiDar topographical data accurate to 30cm
  • High quality aerial photography
  • Ready to print maps for: topography, aspect, slope, watershed and soil
  • KML files of all maps ready for import into Google Earth
