Back Achers Organics is comprised of 17 acres of mixed tree fruits in Cawston BC. In conjunction with our farm Back Achers we operate our cidery Twisted Hills.
Our farm and cidery are both certified organic by PACS and we are proud stewards of our land.
DESIRED QUALITIES
As we prepare for the end of the 2023 season, we look forward to adding a couple new members to the orchard. A great environment for a young couple or a couple of friends!
We are looking for two to three full time employees.
JOB TASKS
On the orchard side the key responsibilities will include but are not limited to fruit picking
and fruit processing for the cidery side. Fruit picking experience is a bonus. Due to the
nature of the hot weather in the summer, mornings in the orchard with afternoons off are
typical. Floating or relaxing on the beautiful Similkameen River is a great way to spend
the afternoons and weekends in Cawston.
Position can include cellar work at Twisted Hills Craft Cider such as canning, bottling,
pasteurizing and packaging cider.
A flex position to work in the orchard and cidery tasting room is available for the right
applicant.
JOB DETAILS
Term: These positions are seasonal from mid-June to October 31, 2023.
Hours per week: A work week will be between 30-40 hours per week. Farm work will
typically be weekends off but not always guaranteed. Tasting room work will include
weekends.
Wage: Hourly wage starts at $18.00/hour. If candidates are experienced hourly wage
can be re-assessed. Potential for hourly wage increase based on performance.
Facilities: Access to water, private outdoor shower, washroom, power and WIFI . We
have a perfect place for a camper, small bus or tent. For the right applicant a camper
trailer can be available.
