ABOUT Hoisington Organic Farms
We are a mixed farm raising Chickens, Turkeys, Lamb and Certified organic vegetables. We are located 1.5 Km South of Armstrong, BC. We have 15 acres of highly productive farmland supporting our products. We use several different types of tractors with multiple attachments and pull behind machinery. Some of the things we use are flame weeder, haying equipment, basket weeders, deep till cultivators, breaking disks, seeding attachments and harvesting equipment.
We believe in sustainable farming practices involving cover crops and livestock to maintain or improve soil health. We are certified organic for all our vegetables.

JOB TASKS
Help with day to day raising of livestock, from birth to loading for processing. Work in the gardens starting with seeding, weeding, harvesting and record keeping. Washing and preparing produce for sale.
JOB DETAILS
Terms:
1 Person to start April 1st to Nov 1st
2 positions starting June 1st to Nov 1st
2 positions starting July 15th to Nov 1st
All starting dates and finish dates are flexible to some degree.
Hours per week: 40 hours per week, 5 days and 2 days off. Days off may not necessarily be on weekends.
Wage: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour depending on experience.
