Winderberry and Edible Acres Farm in Windermere, BC are looking for a strong, fit and self motivated person to join their team for the 2020 season and beyond.

About WINDERBERRY and EDIBLE ACRES FARM

We are nestled in the Columbia Valley and Rocky Mountains. The area is a mecca for outdoor activities all seasons of the year. The applicant will be working with both Winderberry (garden centre), certified organic Edible Acres Farm and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), as well as our Edible Acres Cafe all located on the same property. We farm about 5 acres of certified organic vegetables, grow flowers in 30,000 square ft of Greenhouse space and have an active retail and cafe space where all the Greenhouse sales take place. There is an irrigation creek that runs through our property and drains into Lake Windermere, which is a 10 minute walk from our farm property.

Our vegetable farm is certified organic and we pride ourselves in being the only certified organic vegetable grower in the Columbia Valley. Our greenhouse and flower production is not certified organic, but the only non allowable substance we use on the flowers is chemical fertilizer. We do not use any herbicides, pesticides or fungicides. In fact we use IPM (integrated pest management) within all our greenhouses.

We are a busy farm, a family run business with lots of passion for what we do ~ we work our butts off and have fun doing it!!!

  1. Hi there

I have a question: for all the jobs that are not mentioned “filled” does it mean that they have not been filled yet or it is beacause the administrotors of this platform does not know about some jobs,as they have not got the update?

For example, I am wondering: is this job “FARM JOB: WINDERMERE, BC – EDIBLE ACRES FARM, FARM MANAGER” still available? are they still recruiting?

    Thank you in advance

    1. Hi Yasmina,

Thanks for your question. It is the latter- sometimes farms let us know if the position has been filled, but oftentimes they don’t. Contacting the farm is the best way to find out.

      Good luck with your search!

      Cheers,
      Michi
