ABOUT Healing Farm
Healing Farm is a diverse farm with over 1000 fruit and nut trees with a broad range of varieties (apple, pear, cherry, plum, peach, mulberry, walnut, hazelnut, almond, quince, persimmon, fig). In addition several varieties of table grapes, currants, raspberries. Healing Farm has greenhouses and vegetable garden that grow many different vegetables. Healing Farm also raises Mason Bees and Honey Bees along with poultry.The farm is involved in the production of multiple value added products including juices, jellies, dehydrated fruits, sauces, soups and pies. Healing Farm is 18 acre certified organic farm that includes a licensed eggs grading station and a commercial kitchen. Healing Farm products are sold at Farmers Markets, grocery stores and restaurants. Healing Farm also provides a broad range of farm tours and education sessions. Machinery used are the farm are several kinds of tractors, cultivating equipment,and dehydrators, pasteurizer, cold presses, honey extractor, and nut cracker.
Given the turmoil, stress and challenges we face in society particularly our own health and sanity, relationships with one another, and most importantly the health and future of our Planet; we need time to reflect on our values and priorities for present and future generations.
How do we do this? We at Healing Farm feel that an important first step is take the time to visit, observe, and reconnect with our natural environment. In doing so one regains a sense of belonging to and with “Mother Earth”, with each other, as citizens on this planet and with our communities.
The above philosophy drives the long term vision for Healing Farm which is to aid in making a reconnection between people and their environment. We offer opportunities to observe and learn about: ecosystems; their functions and roles in sustaining life; organic farming; – including ways to produce healthy natural foods without degrading the environment; the application of both low and high ‘tech’ means for preserving food; and education sessions on stewardship, horticulture and animal husbandry. Healing Farm is a registered certified organic 18 acre farm. (I.O.P.A. 1704). We hope that Healing Farm can contribute to healing ourselves, our society and our planet.

POSITION TASKS
- loading chicken grain into both barns (100 bags once/month)
- pruning fruit trees/trimming brush
- thinning, picking and sorting fruit
- making value added products – drying of fruit, processing juices
- maintaining water irrigation systems
- composting fruit trees, greenhouses and gardens
- planting and maintaining greenhouses and gardens
- netting cherry trees
- mowing fields
- working with mason bees and honey bees
- processing honey
- collecting, washing, grading, package eggs

POSITION DETAILS
Term: February 9th, 2026. Permanent – 6 hours/day M-F
Hours per week: 30 hours/week to start
Wage: $20/hour to begin. Perks are working on a farm that has a variety of jobs. Eggs, fruit, vegetables and added value included with employment. An opportunity to learn sustainable and self reliance in living in harmony with the environment.
