A mixed farm in Vernon, BC is seeking a Farm Helper!
ABOUT The Farm
Located on Silver Star Road. 4 acre farm, only 2 acres is in use at the moment as I just bought the property.
Growing:
- Organic garlic (1/2 acre worth )
- 10 apple trees
- 2 cherry trees
- 1 pear tree
- 3 plum trees
- Chickens
- Tomatoes
- Raspberries
- Strawberries
- Blackberries
- Variety of vegetables
Tools: Tractor and ride on lawn mower / push mower and gardening tools
Fruit stand on property for sales.
A safe place to work and play so we produce good food to sell and eat.
DESIRED QUALITIES
- Hard worker
- No drama
- Experience on a farm
- Easy going
JOB TASKS
- Weed and tidy up all berry bushes
- Maintenance of the garlic patch and all vegetables
- Then come harvest, get all fruits and vegetables ready to sell 😉
JOB DETAILS
Term: Permanent or seasonal, Starting May 2021
Hours per week: 20-30hrs per week
Wage: $15 – $18/hr, I’m open to suggestions to either supplying room and board or allowing a RV or van on the property to live in. Contact to discuss.
