Heart and Sol Coastal Farm in Sechelt, BC is seeking a Part-Time Farm Associate!
ABOUT Heart and Sol Coastal Farm
Looking over the Sechelt Inlet on the Sunshine Coast of BC, Heart & Sol Coastal Farm is a place to be inspired. We are Julie & Socrates Carrillo, stewards of the land on this un-ceded territory of the Shíshálh Nation. Together with our two kids we run a small-scale family farm with a vision to create a beautiful space that inspires a connection with nature. Our mission is to get healthy, local, and delicious food in as many households as possible.
We raise happy egg-laying hens, and breed babydoll sheep. We grow a large variety of produce and specialize in making authentic Mexican salsas (and other products) with ingredients grown on our farm. We believe in using organic regenerative agriculture practices, though we are not currently certified. We sell our products through our farm stand, local stores, and a community CSA program.
We are looking for help 20 hours / week, on Sundays, Mondays, and a 3rd day of your choice.

DESIRED QUALITIES
We are looking for someone who loves nature and being outdoors, regardless of the weather. Previous gardening, landscaping, or farming experience would be a bonus, but is not necessary. What is necessary is a genuine interest in creating local food for our community, and a desire to learn alongside us.

JOB TASKS
- Help with harvesting, washing, and packing
- Help with garden tasks such as weeding, prepping garden beds, seeding, and planting
- Help with feeding animals and cleaning animal enclosures
- General tasks around the farm
JOB DETAILS
Term: Starting ASAP, until end of October
Hours per week: 20 hours / week
Wage: $18-$20 / hours
