Northbrook Farm in Saanichton, BC is seeking a Field Manager!
ABOUT Northbrook Farm
Northbrook Farm began in 2000. Heather Stretch (with occasional assistance from her husband and sons) owns and runs this 7-acre certified organic mixed veggie and blueberry farm in the beautiful Mt Newton Valley of Southern Vancouver Island. Northbrook is a bustling farm situated within a 20-acre property where other businesses also operate. We are part of the Saanich Organics group of farms (www.saanichorganics.com) Along with partners Robin Tunnicliffe (Sea Bluff) and Rachel Fisher (Three Oaks) we market together and run our seed company Seeds of the Revolution. We sell through our CSA, at 2 farmers markets, to many local restaurants and grocers, and at our farm stand.
Northbrook Farm is Certified Organic, and Heather has been an active volunteer in the Organic community through IOPA, COABC, and Moss St Market since she began farming in 2001. We believe that agriculture needs to be sustainable both environmentally and financially. We also believe in working and growing together, so community and relationships are very important to us.
