ABOUT Rootdown Organic Farm
Rootdown Farm is certified organic and was established in the fertile Pemberton Valley in 2009, and has been growing a diverse array of mixed vegetables ever since! We grow over 25 varieties of vegetables and culinary herbs for sale on about 7 acres of land. This includes about 1 acre of highly sought after certified seed garlic. Our sales channels are to restaurants, grocery stores, and a roughly 90-100 member CSA Harvest Box program, all in Pemberton and Whistler, and we are known for our high quality and good value products. We love feeding our community!
The farm is fast paced, dynamic, and exciting! There are daily and weekly deadlines, and work needs to be done efficiently. However, we also have fun while hustling and working hard, and think our current 2022 team is a great bunch of folks!
We are also continually striving to improve our systems, and welcome feedback from employees as part of this process.
Rootdown is certified organic, and aims to constantly improve our practices with the health of the planet, soil, the surrounding ecosystems, and people in mind. We are always looking for ways to be less wasteful, whether it is in our packaging or our use of row cover. We also care a lot about the health of our soil and are transitioning to no and low till practices whenever possible.
