Interested in learning the ins and outs of how to run a profitable market garden business? Join our team for the 2019 farm season!

ABOUT US

Plenty Wild Farms is a small-scale, certified organic farm committed to providing high-quality veggies for our local community through farmers’ markets in Squamish & Whistler and our farm stand in Pemberton. We grow over 40 different varieties of vegetables on 2.5 acres using a compact tractor, BCS, other small hand tools & equipment and systems that focus on efficiency, productivity & soil health. Our farm is a positive, well-run, organized and safe place to work.

Owned and operated by Alyssa Belter & David Tanner, we are partners in farming, life and love. With backgrounds in Environmental Studies, cooking and cheese-making, we were originally drawn to farming by a passion for good food and a concern for environmental sustainability. Seven years later we still absolutely love what we do!

We consider ourselves pragmatic idealists – our approach to farming is informed by our values for environmental stewardship, connection with our local community, the health & well-being of our family & team and the financial sustainability of our business. Although we often “eat, sleep & breathe” all things farming we are also committed to a healthy work-life balance – this has become particularly important to us since the birth of our son Felix in 2017.

Our farm is located just minutes from the Village of Pemberton where you’ll find a world-class burger joint, bakery, health food store, yoga studios, a wonderful library and more. The Pemberton Valley and surrounding Coast Mountains offer almost endless opportunities for hiking, biking, swimming – even paragliding! We love where we live and are inspired & supported by the close-knit farming community here.
