ABOUT Arrows Echo Farm
Arrows Echo Farm is a developing farm near Pemberton in Lil’wat Territory. The farm was started in 2021. We’re working towards being a closed loop regenerative farm to provide a conscientious and kind place for livestock and vegetables to grow. We have a small tractor and are off grid using farmers ingenuity and hand tools. We have produced Grass fed, Rotational pastured Berkshire Pork and Angus Beef plus have a flock of laying hens-all of which are expanding after demonstrated success. Our tiny greenhouse and crop area will be expanded this year as well. The land includes a few creeks, two pond and some streams. We have around 120 acres. We’re developing watering systems and first crop production this season.
Our farm is build upon strong ecologically driven principles with a deeply holistic perspective. We are what we eat and our purpose to contribute in a positive way as stewards of the land while providing wholesome food that has the ability to improve societal health in a systematic way one food eater at a time! We’ll be looking towards organic certification in the future.
DESIRED QUALITIES
Farming here requires being outdoors in all kinds of weather, moving quickly to making the most of the summer months, and celebrating the seasonal nature of farming. Working independently with a strong resilience to hardships you’ll encounter and a strong sense of humour is what can make your day. Accordingly, the expected pace depends on the day. We are looking for team participants who can maintain perspective on the task(s) at hand while looking out for yourself, your co-workers, and the farm’s operations as a whole.
JOB TASKS
All members of the farm team will be part of assessing and creating livestock pastures plus rotational pasture movement of livestock. Assisting in the development of a regenerative farm plan. Stock farm stand with beautiful displays and assist in product development. Creation of feed stock, loading/unloading hay and assist in infrastructure development including a new barn; Plus planting, seeding, weeding, irrigating, harvesting, washing, and packing; There is variety in daily tasks!
Other Duties may also include helping with marketing, customer coordination and communications, driving the delivery vehicle, and equipment/facility maintenance.
Farming experience is an asset but not required. Livestock/Animal Husbandry experience is not necessary, but a level of comfort and respect for large animals as well as dogs is important as they are part of the day-to-day operations of the farm.
JOB DETAILS
Term: Starting May 8th will be ideal with flexibility for a 16 week period.
Hours per week: In the main season, hours are 8-11am or 9am to noon, 5:00to 8:00pm or 4pm -7pm depending on season/weather Monday-Friday. Two paid breaks (15). We may start later/earlier depending on the weather and we take care to adjust hours and scheduling based on the needs of the whole team. Full-time hours during the week is consistently around 30 hours/week. If/when you’re on the weekend shift, the expected working hours can be shifted depending on your needs.
Wage: Along with an hourly wage and consistent work hours ($21/hr), employees have access to fresh farm-grow produce, wild mushrooms, wildcrafted medicinal herbs and other farm products (kombucha) throughout the season (plenty of veggies to take home!).

- Experience vegetable farming
- Experience in physically-demanding jobs or recreation pursuits
- Valid BC Class 5 and clean driving record

- Eligible to work in Canada (required)
Employees might want to live in the town of Pemberton, Birken or D’Arcy. On-farm accommodation may be possible for the right fit. Please specify if you are interested in living on the farm and/or if you already have local housing secured.
We are open to full-time and part-time applicants, and are open to adjusting start/end workday times for local candidates if you have existing childcare/professional responsibilities and can commit to a consistent schedule.
The farm is 40km from town so reliable transportation in the form of a personal vehicle is a must.
