Kildara Farms in North Saanich, BC is seeking a Farm Hand!
ABOUT Kildara Farms
We are a certified organic farm operating on 30 acres of beautiful, southwest facing land in North Saanich with views of the Saanich inlet and Malahat mountains. We produce mixed salad greens, apples, tomatoes, cucumbers, beets, potatoes, squash, and many other vegetables. Using tractors, multiple implements, and lots of human power we sell our products through wholesale, farmers markets, and farmgate sales.
We practice environmentally sound certified organic farming methods to maintain healthy soils and environments through cover cropping, composting, and crop rotation.

JOB TASKS
Tasks include seeding, planting, weeding, pruning, harvesting, packing and shipping. We produce many different crops throughout the year so the tasks vary from day to day and week to week.
JOB DETAILS
Term: Start date is immediately, and the position will last until at least the end of October 2022 depending on the weather.
Hours per week: Up to 40 hours per week.
Wage: Base wage is $18/hour, and we provide additional compensation through vegetables and fruit given to employees regularly.
