Spicer’s Farm in Nakusp, BC is seeking an Organic Vegetable Field Worker!

ABOUT Spicer’s Farm

Spicer’s Farm is scenically located on the waterfront of Upper Arrow Lake near Nakusp, BC.

Spicer’s Farm is legendary in the region and is one of the most important sources of local food. The farm has contributed to the economic life of Nakusp since 1904 and has been in the Spicer family since 1948. Certified organic, it is one of the few larger-scale farms in the area. We grow the staples of our diet; cabbage, carrots, beets, potatoes, onions, leeks, beans, winter squash and garlic. Spicer’s vegetables are sold in grocery stores throughout the Kootenays and beyond.

We are certified organic through the Kootenay Organic Growers Society. A major emphasis in our food production is on growing vegetables in concert with our land, water and natural pollinators. Preserving local diversity is critical to our future.
