ABOUT Rourke Farm
6000 acre grain farm some organic but moving to Zero Till Plus and Net Positive Carbon Grain Farming
Family is first priority. I zero tilled for 35 years, then organic for 5. I am moving to Zero Till plus using regenerative principles, except livestock. Plus agroecological practises, sustainable intensification, Green N, Green fuel and a Green attitude. Continuous learning. I started a PhD last September on how to move Western Canadian ag from being part of the global warming problem to a solution.

DESIRED QUALITIES
Honest, hard working, punctual, inquisitive, drivers license, self starter
JOB TASKS
Helping with on farm research plots– about 3000. When time– help on grain farm, garden, yard and equipment maintenance and building up keep.
JOB DETAILS
Term: end of April until end of August or October. We have had summer help turn into full time research people
Hours per week: usually 40, maybe more in busy season
Wage: Manitoba minimum wage or negotiable if needing a house.
