ABOUT Stable Harvest Farm
Since 2020, Stable Harvest Farm, a 65-acre non-profit educational production farm in Langley, BC, has donated over 500,000 lbs. of fresh produce to local communities. We also welcome thousands of students annually through curriculum-aligned educational tours, connecting children and families to where their food comes from and why regenerative farming matters. As we continue expanding our production systems and farm programming, we are seeking an experienced Senior Farmer / Lead Farm Crew Member to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured but dynamic farm environment and wants to take ownership of high-quality crop production within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on farm production experience (vegetable production preferred)
- Confident tractor operator (field prep, cultivation, hauling, etc.)
- Experience managing greenhouse crops
- Strong understanding of organic or regenerative farming systems
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Physically capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
POSITION TASKS
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute crop production across field and greenhouse systems
- Operate and maintain tractors and farm machinery safely and efficiently
- Oversee seeding, transplanting, cultivation, irrigation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling
- Manage greenhouse crops (peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.) from propagation through harvest
- Maintain organized workspaces and uphold high standards of cleanliness and efficiency
- Support regenerative organic farming practices to improve soil health and biodiversity
- Collaborate with the farm team to ensure smooth seasonal transitions and crop planning
- Assist with mentoring junior crew members when needed
POSITION DETAILS
Term: April 26-Aug 31 with possible extension into September to November.
Hours per week: 40 hours/ week
Wage: Starting at $23/hour (negotiable and commensurate with experience)
