Since 2020, Stable Harvest Farm—a non-profit education farm—has donated over 500,000 lbs of fresh, local produce to communities in need. We also welcome thousands of children, schools, and families each year for hands-on farm experiences that teach where food comes from, how ecosystems work, and why caring for the land matters.
In 2026, we’re excited to expand our petting zoo and continue growing our education programs rooted in regenerative organic farming—building healthy soil, supporting biodiversity, and fostering meaningful connections between people, food, and the environment.
How You’ll Help Grow Our Mission
- Lead groups of school students through our education garden, sharing key learning points and guiding them through activities
- Professional development and workshops are provided to support your leadership role; teaching experience is not required.
- Help set up and clean up educational programs and farm events
- Assist with crop production, including bed preparation, seeding, planting, weeding, irrigation, harvesting, and post-harvest processing
- Support daily farm operations and collaborate with the team on a variety of tasks
- Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and care across the farm
- Work hands-on with crops, soil, and farm animals on our 65-acre educational farm

DESIRED QUALITIES
What We’re Looking For:
- Enjoy working with children in an outdoor setting and are comfortable with physical farm work in all types of weather
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and take pride in doing quality work
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about food systems, sustainability, education, or regenerative farming
- Eligible to work in Canada and complete a criminal record check to work with children
POSITION TASKS
This is a dynamic, outdoor position that blends education, farming, and animal care. You’ll help lead school groups through our education garden, support daily farm operations, and be part of a mission-driven team making real community impact.
Whether you’re excited about teaching kids, learning farm skills, or working alongside animals, this role offers hands-on experience in a truly unique setting.
No prior farming or education experience required—we’re looking for curious, motivated people who are eager to learn and love working outdoors. Education programs will be mentored by an experienced Educator with vast Ministry experience to guide your teaching and learning. We are here to support your growth!
POSITION DETAILS
Term: Mandatory staff orientation sessions will be held prior to the start of employment. Following the completion of orientation, the official employment period is April 27-August 2026, with a possible extension into September–November.
Hours per week: 5 days a week, which can include weekends. (flexibility is required on your part – depending on seasonal needs)
Hours: ~40 hours/week, adjusted seasonally
Wage: $21.50/hour
