ABOUT Stable Harvest Farm
Stable Harvest Farm is a 65 acre social enterprise non-profit farm in Langley, BC. Established in 2020 the farm has had two successful seasons growing fresh organic produce for emergency food relief to those in need. Moving into 2022 the organization will focus on primary/intermediate educational programming hosting thousands of youth in an interactive experiential agricultural tour. We have partnered with BC Agriculture in the Classroom to bring students in for educational experiences.
Stable Harvest Farm is looking for hardworking and motivated candidates for the upcoming 2022 season. If you are interested in regenerative agriculture, ecosystem restoration, environmental education and getting your hands dirty, this may be the position for you! In addition to these ongoing projects, we also partner with multiple charities.
DESIRED QUALITIES
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Physically fit and able to work out 8 hours a day/ 5 days a week/available on weekends
- Hard-working and able to work at a fast pace
- Quality driver work ethic
- Work positively in a group setting (harvest, and field operations are executed in a team setting)
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Driver’s license is an asset.
JOB TASKS
Prepping beds, setting up irrigation, transplanting, weeding, site maintenance etc.
JOB DETAILS
Term: Summer season
Hours per week: 40 hours per week
Wage: $18/hour
