Fairmeade Estate in Langley, BC, is seeking a Vineyard Worker!

ABOUT Fairmeade Estate

Fairmeade was named in 1940 by the Galspie family from Vancouver’s Shaugnessy neighbourhood. Over time Mrs. Galaspie grew the show farm into a producer of championship diary cattle.

Today the 157 acre farm includes the 1940’s Farm Lodge, three workers cottages, a managers cottage, 12 stall livery, dairy barn, 5000 square foot barn, horse shed and outbuildings. The vineyard was recently expanded to 35 acres. Farm production includes the vineyard, contracted hay and corn production, sales and table grapes. The farm is bordered by one of the last open salmon streams in the Lower Mainland.

On site equipment includes farm tractor/tiller/excavator and related viticulture equipment

POSITION TASKS

Maintaining a vineyard including, weeding, propagation, pruning, staking and general farm work. This position is well suited to someone who wants to learn from a vineyard expert by doing what it takes to propagate and cultivate grapes in the Fraser Valley.

POSITION DETAILS

We are seeking people (up to 4) interested in learning viticulture from the ground up, literally. We have a 25 acre wine grape vineyard and are developing one of the first table grape vineyards in Western Canada.

Term: Ideally our vineyard crew would be able to start this initially seasonal (March to October) position in the Spring of 2026.

Hours per week: It is anticipated the work week to total 40 hrs, this may include shifts over weekends

This position is for seasonal tenure but could evolve into a full time farm position

Wage: Compensation based on a starting wage of $22.50 for a 40 hour week.

Accommodation: On site housing may be available.
