Brôma in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a Summer Farm Hand!
ABOUT Brôma
We’re a diverse farm located in Kingston, ON, focusing on using regenerative practices with no chemical inputs and a positive impact on the environment.
We have a small scale vegetable plot, diverse orchard, small herd of Red Devon cattle, sheep, chickens, and hens. We have been farming on our land for over a decade, and are currently in the process of opening a prepared food business, selling farm-to-table meals produced almost entirely from the farm.
We believe that farming should be part of the climate change solution rather than part of the problem, and that animals are a critical part of the system. To that end, we use rotational grazing, no-till, hedge rows, and various other techniques to improve the soil, increase biodiversity, reduce erosion, sequester carbon, and generally produce high quality food while saving the planet. We follow lunar/biodynamic planting calendars, use heirloom open-pollinated seed, and produce all of our own compost.
