Brôma in Kingston, Ontario is seeking an Animal Husbandry Farm Hand!
ABOUT Brôma
We’re a diverse farm located in Kingston, Ontario, focusing on using regenerative practices with no chemical inputs and a positive impact on the environment.
We have a small-scale vegetable plot, a diverse orchard, a small herd of Red Devon cattle, sheep, chickens, and hens.
We believe that farming should be a critical part of the climate change solution, rather than part of the problem and that animals are a key part of the system. To that end, we use rotational grazing, no-till, hedgerows, and a number of other practices to improve soil quality, reduce erosion, sequester carbon, and generally produce high-quality food while saving the planet.

- is able to get to and from work independently (we’re in the country, there is no bus route)

- is able to do heavy lifting and manage physical tasks
- is comfortable working with animals and able to work calmly under stressful conditions
- is able to work with chainsaws and weedwhackers, including cleaning and basic maintenance
- is quick on their feet
- is comfortable with both dynamic and repetitive tasks
- is comfortable working alone and with a team
- is hard-working and able to learn new tasks
