ABOUT Lentelus Farms
We are hiring for our meat processing facility in Kelowna. We are a government inspected abattoir and custom meat cutting facility (BC 43). The abattoir is located on a small farm bordering Mission Creek, minutes away from downtown Kelowna.
Lentelus Farms raises sheep and poultry at its Kelowna location, Lentelus also runs a small beef and pork farm on Vancouver Island.

Lamb and Poultry processing: The ideal candidate will be able to help with slaughter and the evisceration of lambs, chickens, and turkeys. The whole crew helps with cleanup at the end of every day. Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols are a must.
Meat cutting: We are also a cutting facility. We usually slaughter 2 or 3 days a week and cut 2 or 3 days a week. You would be working with an experienced meat cutter, helping break down whole carcasses, grinding, and packaging. Occasionally we make fresh sausage and other specialty products as well.
Term: August to December (work starting back up in March)
Hours per week: 30 to 40+
Wage: $25 – $35/hr depending on experience
