ABOUT Lentelus Farms
We are hiring for our fall processing season at our meat processing facility in Kelowna. We are a government inspected abattoir and custom meat cutting facility (BC 43). The abattoir is located on a small farm bordering Mission Creek, minutes away from downtown Kelowna.
Lentelus Farms raises sheep, pork and poultry at its Kelowna location, Lentelus also runs a small beef and vegetable farm on Vancouver Island.

No previous experience necessary, willing to train the right person.
JOB TASKS
This position is a support role for our lead processing team, with the opportunity to learn on the job.
You’ll collaborate with the team to ensure humane handling and processing of all livestock (poultry, lamb, pork and beef). Contribute to maintaining accurate records of production activities and quality control. There is a lot of cleaning involved in this job, we keep a very hygienic and sanitary facility.
Meat cutting: We are also a cutting facility. We usually slaughter 2 or 3 days a week and cut 2 or 3 days a week. You would be working with an experienced meat cutter, helping break down whole carcasses, grinding, and packaging. We make fresh sausage and other specialty products as well.
JOB DETAILS
Term: 2 month minimum with possibility of joining the team full time.
Hours per week: 30 to 40+
Wage: $25+ depending on experience
