ABOUT Joyfully Organic Farm

We have a deep love of amazing food, strong farming practices, and hearty laughs. We are planning our 2020 Season and putting together our rock star farm staff team. Joyfully Organic Farm focuses on lean operational efficiencies, bio-intensive planting, multi-successions high yields per acreage, and laughing a lot.

The farm operates on a 30 inch bed system with the use of walking tractors and hand tools. In parallel, the farm is developing a tractor based system which will retain the strengths and efficiencies of the well know 30 inch bed system, developed by Elliot Coleman and popularized by Jean Martin. Please visit our website to learn more about our farming practices.

We are active members of our surrounding communities, providing vegetables for 3 Farmers Markets in Toronto, a large CSA in our hometown, and wholesale relationships to local food purveyors + chefs.

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our farm team. We are looking for those who are invested in organic agriculture and interested in pursuing farming as a potential career. Thanks for your interest in joining the farm team, we look forward to meeting you!

At our farm we call our approach Soil-First Farming. When asked how we address any issue on the farm (bugs, weeds, flavour), it comes down to one factor: how we steward our soil. It is the foundation of everything from the viability of the farm, to the vitality of our food. Taste, nutrition, and farm resiliency begins and ends with soil. Period.  We pride ourselves on being excellent stewards of our land and we know that is demonstrated in the flavours and vibrance of our food.
