FARM JOB: GIBSONS, BC – Persephone Brewing Co, Farmer / Property Maintenance Worker

Posted by Michalina Hunter on July 20, 2020

Persephone Brewing Co. in Gibsons, BC is hiring a full-time Farmer / Property Maintenance Worker!

We are an 11 acre farm based brewery. We have 3 acres of orchards, a chicken run, a berry batch, and 2 acres of market garden with plenty of room to grow. We recently had to take down our hop yards and hoping to repurpose those over the next few years. We have a tractor (with implements), excavator, bob cat, walk behind tractor and plenty of hand implements on site, and access to more if we need to rent specific equipment. The core of our operations is our brewery and tasting room, but this role is separate from that, other than a potential repurposing of parts of our picnic areas with some perennial fruit trees.

We believe local food is crucial in the fight against climate change and try to do our part using the land that we have. We are not satisfied being just a brewery. In addition we strive to be a community hub and use our platform to help educate our community & ourselves on agriculture related issues & more.
