Ol’ MacDonald Farm in Duncan, BC is seeking a Farm Hand!
ABOUT Ol’ MacDonald Farm
Our farm is a small intensive organic vegetable garden just 3 km from Duncan in the Cowichan Valley. We grow on two quiet properties close to one another and use only hand tools. We have been growing in this fashion for 11 years, and sell our products almost exclusively at the Duncan Farmer’s Market every Saturday.
We grow using organic methods (we are not certified) and utilize the principles of Permaculture when feasible. We love farming and hope to do it for as many years as possible. Therefore we avoid drudgery, keep it fun and prioritize life work balance over profit. Helpers work hard on some days but the days are never long or tedious.
