ABOUT Ven’Amour Organic Farms

Ven’Amour Organic Farms is a Certified Organic Farm and Winery located directly on the pristine Similkameen River in Cawston, BC, in a one-of-a-kind desert setting. We have been growing tree fruits and wine grapes organically for 45 years. We produce apples, cherries, apricots, pears, plums and grapes on our 140-acre rolling hillside and nature estate. We have nearly 2 km of river frontage wildlife habitats that are home to several rare and endangered desert species. Our fruit sales are made on-farm, at Farmer’s Markets, and to Organic Retail stores and Co-ops. We do have several tractors and mowers, etc but the majority of our work relies on personnel hand work.

Having started our farm with raw untouched soil, we strictly adhere to the principals of organic farming and have done so since year one. We have been Certified Organic since 1985, the year certification began in BC. We were one of the 12 original farms to develop and enact organic certification in BC. Both our Farm and Winery are Certified by Pacific Agriculture Certification Society (PACS).
