Wild Antho in Armstrong, BC is seeking a Apiary Technician for the 2021 season!

ABOUT Wild Antho

Wild Antho is an apiary located in Armstrong, BC, with bee yards peppered throughout the Okanagan Valley and Shuswap. Our primary focus is production of nucleus hives and queens. Honey production and pollination are also important to our operation.

Our bee customers are big honey producers in the Prairies, right down to local hobbyist beekeepers.

Our honey and hive product customers tend to be local and regional, but we do sell honey BC wide, and even into Alberta.

We are looking for a self motivated employee who is able to take direction, but also willing to learn and see what needs to be done. We will be working side by side a lot of days and will be relying upon the employee to integrate into our system of work. There will also be times when we will be relying on the employee to work independently. The successful candidate must demonstrate that they can work efficiently and stay focused on the assigned task.


The main duties of the successful candidate will be helping move and feed hives, setting up and taking down bee yards, catching queens for sale, hive monitoring/splitting/equalizing, disease and pest treatment application, taking honey off of hives and honey extraction, and general labour such as building/fixing equipment, loading/unloading trucks and trailers.


Term: March 15 to October 31, 2021
Hours per week: 40 to 60 hours per week. Evening and weekend work will be required sometimes.
Wage: Wage is $15-$20+ an hour, depending on experience and aptitude. Raises are attainable based on attitude and aptitude/performance.
