FARM JOB: Armstrong, BC – Wild Antho, Apiary Technician

Wild Antho in Armstrong, BC, is seeking an apiary technician!

ABOUT Wild Antho

Wild Antho is a commercial beekeeping operation located in the beautiful fields and wild lands of the North Okanagan/Shuswap on the unceded, ancestral territories of the Syilx Nation and the Secwepemc Nation. Our farm provides local pollination services, produces honey, breeds queen bees, and raises stock (nucleus colonies).

Wild Antho prioritizes bee health and uses an environmentally sustainable approach to beehive management. This includes respect for our bee livestock, use of organic mite treatments and integrated pest management strategies, and breeding all of our own stock for health and production. Our honey is raw and kept as close to its natural state every step of the way. The honey is unpasteurized to preserve the natural qualities of raw honey, and all of the subtle floral flavours. Our bee yards are primarily located on organic farms, and outlying wild lands. As third generation beekeepers our family believes in and relies on community support.

At Wild Antho Beekeeping, we recognize the vital role that bees play in maintaining ecological balance and supporting global biodiversity. Committed to prioritizing bee health and embracing sustainable practices, our mandate reflects our dedication to creating a thriving environment for both our pollinators and the communities we serve.

4. Education and Community Engagement: Wild Antho Beekeeping is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of bees in our ecosystems. Through educational programs, workshops, and community outreach initiatives, we aim to empower individuals and communities to actively participate in bee conservation efforts.

5. Research and Innovation: We commit to investing in research and innovation that advances sustainable beekeeping practices. By collaborating with experts in the field, we strive to develop and implement cutting-edge techniques that enhance bee health and contribute to the overall well-being of our environment.

6. Transparent and Ethical Business Practices: Wild Antho Beekeeping values transparency and ethical conduct in all business operations. We will openly communicate our practices, sourcing methods, and environmental impact, fostering trust among our customers and stakeholders.

7. Collaboration for Impact: Recognizing that the challenges facing bees and their ecosystems are global, Wild Antho Beekeeping actively seeks collaboration with like-minded organizations, governmental bodies, and NGOs.
