ABOUT Pilgrims’ Produce
Pilgrims’ Produce is a 13.7 acre farm nestled below the beautiful Eagle Rock Cliffs, close to Armstrong and Vernon BC. We are a certified organic mixed farm growing a wide variety of vegetables, as well as fruits, berries and nuts. This farm was established in 1991 with big vision and passion, caring for this little piece of land and for the community around us.
We use a variety of tools to get jobs done, tractors, quads, wheelbarrows and lots of useful hand tools to name a few. We sell our beautiful produce via Farmer’s Markets, our own CSA and NEW farm store, U-Pick as well as a few other local outlets.
Pilgrims’ Produce is a well-established farm (since 1991) with newer owners, Dan & Kat
Saxton (and 4 young kids) continuing on the farming legacy. Since its inception, Pilgrims’ Produce has been committed to certified organic practices. We value our customers (neighbours, family, friends, the local community!) and we are proud to offer some of the best food around. Small scale organic farming allows us to be focused on the land and taking care of it for ourselves and for future generations and our customers too.
DESIRED QUALITIES
Hardworking, upbeat and motivated (team setting or solo) while doing physically demanding tasks in rain or hot Okanagan heat. Someone who can work fast, skillfully and to the best of their ability. We’re happy to do on-site training, but experience is a huge asset!
JOB TASKS
Everyone is expected to participate in all farm tasks from planting, weeding, greenhouse work, harvesting, washhouse work, Farmers Markets, etc. There are a lot of different tasks which require physical and mental flexibility (from crawling on the ground to helping customers at market). We alternate jobs throughout the day for a balanced and enjoyable work atmosphere. Physical strength and agility needed: Can you lift 40lbs? Crawl in the dirt? Squat? (Tasks vary and farm work is better than a gym membership!)

JOB DETAILS
Term: ASAP! Depending on skills and desire, this position can go until September and even November.
Hours per week: This is a flexible position: We are looking for a part-full time worker – anywhere from 25-40+ hours a week. Monday-Friday, with the potential for a day or two off a week.
Wage: Starting wage: $17/hour with a quick increase if desired skills are present. We also have a clothing allowance of $200.
