Join us online on December 9th to learn how to communicate effectively while sharing land!
Communication can make or break a land sharing relationship: good communication can build community and create mutually-beneficial arrangements, while poor communication can cause an agreement to fall apart.
In this webinar, Nyree Marsh (Columbia Basin Land Matcher), and Haley Schonhofer (Okanagan-Thompson Land Matcher) will explain what ‘good communication’ means and how you can implement it while sharing land. You’ll learn how to: practice self-awareness, listen effectively, raise and discuss issues, and move towards solutions. These skills are important to creating and sustaining land sharing relationships, and are useful in other areas of life too. You’ll get to practice and see these skills demonstrated in real time, and there will be time for Q&A with the B.C. Land Matching Program team, so bring your questions!
You will leave this webinar prepared to communicate effectively in day-to-day life, during initial lease negotiations and land sharing, and in situations where conflict may arise.
