Feel like getting your hands in the dirt for a great cause? Come volunteer for the day and assist with planting a variety of squash and root vegetables on the farm. Produce grown at Newman Farm will be donated to Our Place Society as part of our “field to plate” initiative for those in need in the Greater Victoria area.

Be ready for digging, planting seeds, spreading soil, putting a protective barrier around the seeds, and placing drip tape on each row for irrigation! Farm Event with Farm Land Trust FLT will have some hand tools available for sharing, but please feel free to bring your own spades or shovels for use during the work party. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring your own gloves. Thanks!
