ARE YOU READY TO FULFILL YOUR DREAM OF BECOMING A FARMER?

Learn from local organizations how to connect your farm to schools and restaurants, how the city of Kamloops supports young farmers, and the local groups that work to support your business. We’re also hosting workshops on land linking and business planning for new farmers.

FRIDAY, MARCH 20: Join us for a a whole day devoted to linking people, land and opportunities. In the morning we’ll share opportunities for farmers with organizations like Farm to School BCFarm 2 ChefsCommunity FuturesVenture KamloopsUrban Agriculture in Kamloops and more.

Rebecca Kneen will be giving the keynote address and is joining us to share her story of building Crannog Ales, Canada’s first certified organic on-farm microbrewery, her relationship to the land and people, and how all this ties in to a national food policy for Canada.

After lunch, attend our landlinking workshop by Young Agrarians to bring together people with farmland and those looking for land. This will be a great opportunity to network, talk farm business & organizational models, leases & licenses, and succession planning.
