Farmers invited to B.C. Ministry of Agriculture open house!
Ever wonder what happens at the Ministry of Agriculture? Want to meet the folks who run programs and offer support for farmers across the province? Now’s your chance to get a look behind the curtain – they’re opening the doors to their Abbotsford location to all agricultural producers, and especially new and young farmers, to help them learn what the Ministry of Agriculture has to offer as support. Plus, folks will be able to tour through the lab portion of the building and understand what goes on on that side!
Where: 1767 Angus Campbell Road, Abbotsford, B.C.
When: Tuesday, December 11, 2018 | 5:30-8:30pm
Who should attend? This event is designed for young and new entrant farmers, but is open to all agricultural producers.
This open house will feature information on Ministry of Agriculture programs and services including:
- Veterinary and plant diagnostic services
- Licensing
- Farm business management
- Production insurance
- Agrology
- Environmental management
- Food safety
- Innovation
- Climate adaptation
- Marketing
- Traceability
There will be an opportunity to tour the plant and animal health labs for a limited number of guests. Tours will be held at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm. Sign up will be first come, first serve.
