You’re invited to a cover crop field day at West Enderby Farm! Come out to connect with other farmers and food lovers and dive deep into cover cropping. An optional potluck will follow the tour.
Discover the fundamentals of cover cropping and how it can benefit your soil, add nitrogen and build resilience on your farm. Farmers Paddy and Elaine have been farming their 40 acre site since 2011. They previously grew commercial quantities of organic carrots and cauliflower, and are now leasing some fields and putting others into cover crops. We will learn about innovations, challenges and successes with cover cropping, and how they can help cut back on your use of fertilizers, soil amendments and sprays, and add biodiversity to your farm.
