ABOUT:
The Greater Victoria Compost Education Center is a non-profit organization that supports, develops and delivers initiatives related to urban agriculture, community building, and of course, composting! We run numerous school programs from K to 12, attend approximately 30 outreach events per year, run free workshops on composting, sell Canadian-made composters and seeds from locally seed companies – you can even call us on our Hotline (250-386-WORMS) if you have any gardening or composting questions. We also run workshops on permaculture, soil building, small-scale intensive food production, grafting, plant propagation, beekeeping, and much more. Our annual spring plant sale is an exciting event, hosting experienced local growers who are selling unique varieties of annual and perennial food plants.Tucked away in the heart of Fernwood neighbourhood we’re a great place to visit. Come on by and pick up a composter, or just stroll our lush gardens and demonstration site – you won’t be disappointed!
