Reclaim is an urban farm turned rural farm that grows quality greens & veggies year round in the heart of Alberta. Ryan Mason and his team of fabulous farmers use low impact and organic practices to grow seasonal salad mixes and unique varieties of greens, radishes, beets, carrots, and squash. You can find Reclaim’s produce at multiple farmers markets and more than 50 restaurants in Edmonton.
Join us as we learn about how Reclaim has gone from a small plot of land in the city to a year-round operation that grows some of the tastiest veggies around! We’ll top off the tour with a lunch-time social potluck. See you all there!
Date: Sunday, August 11th – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Reclaim Urban Farms (~1h S of Edmonton).
From Edmonton: Take Highway 2 to Leduc, taking the Highway 39 West turnoff, signs for Drayton Valley/Calmar. Follow 39 straight through Calmar. About 10 minutes from Calmar, the highway will curve south. Shortly after that, take the turnoff for Highway 778 south, signs for Thorsby. Follow the 778 south through town and beyond. About 16km out of town, you’ll see a gas station (AJ’s Trading Post) at a controlled intersection with a stop sign. Go straight through (after stopping!) towards the lake (which you’ll now be able to see!). At the crest of the hill, you’ll pass a red and then a double black mailbox on the left. The next driveway on the left, decorated by two small, old Canadian flags, is Reclaim Farm!

Hi, I wondering if you have anay activities this year
Hi Jose,
Thanks for your comment. We don’t have many in-person events planned for this year (just a few in BC), But if there’s anything we can do to assist you in your farming journey from afar, let us know! I can also connect you with our Alberta team. My email is community@youngagrarians.org if you’d rather discuss there.
Cheers,
Michi
