AUG 5, 2023: Mid Summer Social at Sea Bluff Farm – Metchosin, BC

Posted by Kat Roger on July 14, 2023

You’re invited to a Mid Summer Land Social at Sea Bluff Farm in Metchosin, B.C.! Come out to connect with other farmers and food lovers, meet your regional Land Matcher, and share a delicious meal.

Come ready to eat well and soak up the atmosphere. Robin and Sasha will focus on winter crops, so you’ll get a chance to see their farm easing into the transition from summer to winter. They can’t wait to share all their tricks and tips for growing a large diversity of crops all winter long. Most of all, they are thrilled to set their hoes down and have a chance to meet all the young (and old) agrarians.

As well, the regional Land Matcher will share information about how the B.C. Land Matching Program can help you find the perfect farmer for your land – or farmland where you can build your dream farm business.

We can’t wait to see you there!

ABOUT SEA BLUFF FARM

Robin from Sea Bluff was a young agrarian type back in the ’90s, traveling and apprenticing on farms. She and friends took over Saanich Organics and built it into a farmer-centric distribution company that was recently awarded ‘Producer of the Year’ by the Victoria area restaurants. After leasing land for almost 20 years, Robin landed at Sea Bluff and married hardworking Metchosinite Sasha. The pair took over managing the 10-acre Certified Organic farm, building it up to be the largest veggie producer in the Westshore. In 2022, the amazing farmer Bob Mitchell died and left Sea Bluff Farm to Robin and Sasha with the hope that they keep farming and feeding the people. Robin and Sasha feed folks for 12 months of the year; they are more dedicated than ever, and they can’t wait to show you the beautiful soil of Sea Bluff Farm.
