Graham, who plans, curates and oversees their CSA program and farmer’s market is an ecologist, bringing a nature-focused approach to the farm and is always testing new growing methods in their no-till test plot.

Whether you’re dreaming about starting your own farm, looking to expand your knowledge, or simply want to support local food, these tours are a great place to start. We hope you can join us!

🐝 Happy National Pollinator Week! 🐝This we 🐝 Happy National Pollinator Week! 🐝This week, let's take a moment to appreciate the essential role of pollinators and how they contribute to the beauty and balance of our natural world.Pollinators play a key role in our food supply and ecosystems - around 75% of all flowering plant species need animal pollinators for reproduction - to produce seeds, fruit, and vegetables. Beyond their role in food production, pollinators also play a vital role in maintaining biodiversity by helping to pollinate plants that provide habitats and food for other wildlife.Unfortunately, pollinators face various challenges today. Habitat loss, pesticide use, climate change, and disease have all contributed to their decline worldwide. It's crucial that we work to protect them. Here's how you can make a difference:🌻Plant pollinator-friendly gardens: Create a haven for pollinators in your own backyard by planting native flowers, shrubs, and trees.🌻Leave wild areas: Unmanaged "weedy" areas or hedgerows on the edges of lawns or farms can give pollinators food and nesting habitat.🌻Reduce or eliminate pesticide use: Many types of pesticides have been shown to negatively affect pollinators.🌻Spread awareness: Share information about pollinators with your community.🌻Get involved: Volunteer with local conservation organizations or join community initiatives focused on pollinator conservation.Let's make every week pollinator week!📽: @aimeeswildlifephotos#PollinatorWeek #ProtectOurPollinators #bees #pollinators
LAND OPPORTUNITY: Located 30 minutes from Nelson, LAND OPPORTUNITY: Located 30 minutes from Nelson, BC, this scenic farm in Harrop-Procter has 9 acres available for a variety of production types. The land features: fenced fields (currently covered in mixed grasses, re-seeded in 2023), an orchard, a historic barn, and other infrastructure which was previously used for a dairy operation. The property is set up with licensed irrigation, and there is some small-scale farming equipment on-site. Some knowledge and experience with regenerative farming practices would be beneficial for this opportunity.

Join us for a tour, potluck, and workshop at Tripl Join us for a tour, potluck, and workshop at Triple Lyoness Farm in Dapp, Alberta on June 21!

Triple Lyoness Farm is a family-run, mixed-livestock operation rooted in diversity, care, and regenerative practices. The Carlyon family — Rod, Janet, and their three daughters, Andria, Jessica, and Briana — proudly raise pasture-raised beef, chicken, turkey, free-range pork, and eggs while maintaining a vibrant farm ecosystem.

At this event, you’ll get a chance to learn about the basics of regenerative agriculture and see firsthand how Triple Lyoness Farm weaves together multiple aspects of regenerative farming — from a mixed livestock operation to productive vegetable gardens to a riparian area protection project.

We will be joined by Sierra Berg from Rural Routes to Climate Solutions, who will lead a conversation on how regenerative practices can help rural communities build resilience and create opportunities in the face of climate change.

📣 Join us in welcoming Caitlin, our new E-Learn 📣 Join us in welcoming Caitlin, our new E-Learning Coordinator!

Caitlin lives in Chisholm Township, Ontario, a small farming community south east of North Bay, located on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe peoples in the Robertson-Huron and Williams’ Treaties areas. Six years ago, she and her partner bought a 130 acre property in Chisholm where they dove head first into learning about different farming and livestock practices. They have grown a variety of vegetables and raised pigs, turkeys and chickens. It has been a steep learning curve with many successes and failures along the way.

Though she grew up in Toronto, Caitlin has always had an affinity for the outdoors, and this has drawn her to learn more about the natural world through education and experience. She has degrees in Biology, Education, and Environmental Visual Communication that she uses to facilitate meaningful connections between people and the land. As the E-Learning Coordinator, Caitlin hopes to draw on these experiences to support new and young farmers starting out on their journey.

When not farming, Caitlin can be found canoeing local waterways, deep in the pages of a book, or connecting with her community through homegrown, homemade meals.

Welcome to the team, Caitlin! 🌻
