Are you an aspiring ecological farmer and food lover who wants hands-on experience working the land and growing in community? Gathered Farm and Florals in Powell River, BC, might be the place for you!

About the Farm

Gathered Farm and Florals grows and forages on the unceded traditional territory of the Tla’amin Nation.

Gathered Farm and Florals is a regenerative, high-density vegetable and flower farm in Powell River, BC. What began as a desire to feed their family the best food possible has grown into this thriving farm. Ultimately, they farm for the love of food—the joy of harvesting vibrant, beautiful vegetables under the sun and feeling a profound connection to the plants they nurture. Through their work, they hope to share that joy and connection with their community.

The farm produces a diverse selection of naturally grown fruits and vegetables, seasonally foraged foods, and fresh floral bouquets, offered through CSA boxes, a farm stand, pop-up markets, and select retail locations. Their signature salad mixes and specialty chef’s boxes are also sought after by top chefs at high-end restaurants.

Gathered Farm blends regenerative agriculture with immersive culinary experiences, offering everything from fresh produce, florals, and weddings to long-table dinners, wild foraging, and guided tours. They take pride in growing and harvesting for both high-end restaurants and their local community, supported by a unique salad program, extended shoulder-season cropping, and an ever-expanding collection of rare herbs and spices. With a diverse range of value-added goods—including wild botanical beverages and dried products—they showcase creativity, craftsmanship, and the fullest expression of what their land can offer.

The farm follows regenerative practices—including no-till methods and the use of no synthetic chemicals or fertilizers—committing to the long game of nurturing productive land that can feed people today while building something that will endure for generations.

About the Farmers

Alexander brings decades of experience in food production and collaboration with farmers, chefs, and food-industry leaders, working where innovation meets flavour. His path—from childhood days in the garden, through the crumbling ivory towers of academia, to the bright lights of restaurant kitchens—has led him back to the fundamentals of growing food and feeding people.

Mackenzie began her farming journey at Gathered Farm seven years ago, building on childhood roots on a Gulf Island hobby farm. With experience as an RMT and small business owner, she brings strengths in management, communication, CSA coordination, and crop planning, while working hands-on in the field and leading the farm’s thriving cut-flower operation.
