FARM JOB: PEMBERTON, BC – PLENTY WILD FARMS, FARM CREW

Plenty Wild Farms in Pemberton, BC is looking for new folks to be part of our Farm Crew for the 2026 season.

ABOUT PLENTY WILD FARMS

We are a small, certified organic farm dedicated to providing high-quality produce to our local community. 2026 will be our 14th year in operation and we plan to grow 50+ different types of vegetables on ~4 acres using a combination of human & tractor power. We sell year-round through our online store and a farm stand. Our goal is to make a positive contribution to the world by farming in a way that takes care of the place we inhabit and the people we share it with.

The farm is located just a couple kilometres from the Village of Pemberton, which has great bakeries, a handful of restaurants, yoga studios, a wonderful library and more. The Pemberton Valley and surrounding Coast Mountains offer amazing opportunities for hiking, biking & other outdoor activities.

DESIRED QUALITIES

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is punctual, reliable and self-motivated
  • Enjoys physical work and being outdoors
  • Is physically fit; able to bend, kneel, squat and/or stand for long periods of time; able to lift & carry up to 50 lbs
  • Is able to work outdoors in all seasons and all weather conditions
  • Understands the importance of efficiency and is willing & able to move & work quickly & efficiently on a daily basis
  • Pays attention to detail & quality
  • Is open-minded, curious, inclusive and considerate
  • Learns quickly, can take direction, give & receive feedback and ask for help when needed
  • Has good communication skills and the ability to work both independently & as part of a team

Please note: Previous farm experience (and/or experience in fast-paced, outdoor and/or physically demanding work environments) is an asset, but not strictly necessary.

POSITION TASKS

Farm Crew members are part of the entire growing process from start to finish including seeding, planting, irrigating, weeding, pruning & trellising, harvesting, cleaning & packing all the crops grown on the farm.

We are a small, close-knit team of 3-5 people (depending on the time of year) who enjoy the mental & physical challenges of farming, take pride in our work and can also crack a joke 🙂

POSITION DETAILS

Term: We’re looking to fill one full-time, full season position from April to October (or December if you’re keen to extend the season) and one full-time, summer position from May to August.

There is flexibility for a good fit so please apply even if you’re only looking for part-time work or have limited availability.

Hours per week: Our workdays are typically 8 hours long with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break. We work Monday to Friday – in the spring & fall we usually start at 8am while in the summer we may start as early as 6am (depending on the weather).

Wage: $18.25 to $21.25/hour, depending on experience

  • An end-of-season bonus of $0.50/hour based on total hours worked if you complete your commitment to the farm
