ABOUT Reuben’s Roots
Reuben’s Roots is a market garden farm just a few minutes outside of Battleford, SK. Our four focus crops are carrots, bush beans, peas, and cucumbers though we are always trying something new and grow several other crops such as beets squash and garlic. We are proud to produce “naturally grown nutrition” which means that although we are not certified organic, we use regenerative and organic production practices. No synthetic chemicals or fertilizers here, just compost and companion planting!

POSITION TASKS
We are currently looking for a packing assistant in our post harvest facility. Tasks will include but not be limited to:
- sorting for quality
- packaging for market needs
- inventory control, and
- facility cleaning
POSITION DETAILS
Term: We have an anticipated start and end date of July 1 – August 31, 2026.There is the potential for additional hours per week and/or outside of the start and end dates if production exceeds our goals and the successful candidate for this position is interested. As well, there is the potential for additional casual hours in the field.
Hours per week: Average of 10 hours per week. We harvest in the morning and pack in the evening. We can offer some flexibility to daily start times though you would be expected to work weekday evenings. Working weekends is not required.
Wage: This position pays $16/hr. Pay days are on the 1st and 15th of each month. You can expect a weekly allowance of fresh vegetables in addition to this. We potentially can provide low cost accommodations for students interested in this position.
