Abundant Acres Farm in Centre Burlington, Nova Scotia is seeking a Greenhouse Manager!
ABOUT Abundant Acres Farm
Our farm in Centre Burlington uses ecological growing techniques focused on soil health to produce a diverse range of vegetables year-round. We grow in soil – outdoors, in field tunnels and geothermal greenhouses. We use physical barriers, crop rotation, beneficial insects and cover crops to reduce pest and disease pressure.
As well, we own and operate a retail outlet in Halifax where we sell our produce and a wide variety of local products such as meat, fish, eggs, maple syrup, fruit, dairy, bread and more. Our retail space also functions as the pick up location for our farm share members. Many of our customers have been with us for years and we value the relationships that we have fostered with them as well as the local vendors who supply our store.
We are not certified organic but we use ecological growing techniques.

We are looking for someone with greenhouse management experience who is interested in helping us improve our greenhouse yields, quality and labour efficiency.

Altogether this is just under one acre of protected space.
